The changes introduced by Law no. 18/2022, of 25 August to the legal regime of entry, stay, exit and expulsion of foreigners from the national territory came into force on 30 October 2022. One of the changes introduced was the creation of a visa to seek work.

The job seeker visa entitles its holder to enter and remain only in Portugal for the purpose of looking for job.
